The trail I'm taking home
is lined with blooming flowers,
it crosses smooth and glowing stone
washed by gentle mountain showers,
it leads me through the unknown
teaching me the true power
this journey ends before a golden throne

Many years I have spent waiting for my life to come together
It seemed the best it ever did was maybe get a little better
I'd notice when I'd made 'progress', I'd have more things to take care of,
but the things that always slipped away was the presence of your love…
your love….
I'd do anything almost, to try and stay on top
yet dark waters alway beckoned, and I knew I could not stop…
I'd wake up drowning if I rested from my toiling to survive,
yet all the time, something was screaming,
there must be more to being alive…
Everybody said I was 'wonderful', but I knew they could not see
the despair and fear and shame living in the heart of me,
There was nobody to turn to, no place was really safe,
it seemed my wheel of fortune would
forever be to wait… to wait….
Peace came like a flower slowly opening to light
Like a quiet silent dawning, Love lifted off the wrong and the right,
I saw that all around me, all things I'd known of old,
had taken on a brightness, so marvelous to behold…
A flood of Love washed me, cleansing who I"d been,
as the real possibilities of living rose within,
I saw we are all family, we're closer then best of friends,
We've been in a dreaming, now we are waking up again…
I say there is a purpose in the life we life today,
to be a constant sharing, giving who we are away,
I once was a superstition, I was such a 'real identity',
now I know I am nothing, yet I carry every possibility…
I'm the possibility of freedom,
I'm the possibility of true love,
I'm the possibility of the peaceful planet
we've all had so many dreams of…
I'm the commitment to ending the hunger,
I'm the disappearance of all fear,
I'm the shelter I'm safe under,
I'm the source of all that's clear.
I am the brightness shining
in the soul of every man
I am the courage that answers
the impossible with I can
For I know the I of Me to be
a space so vast yet near,
that all that is or was or shall be
Exists in me, right now, right here.
